Lene has started bloging in english, and I decided that from now, my dog training bloging will be in english as well. After all – there are not that many clicker training agility folks in norway, and the few ones I know of are pretty good at reading english anyway!
Back to today’s training:
When I called Orkan out of his crate, he lookt straight past me, and showed no interest what so ever. I didn’t have much choice but put him back (“If you don’t wanna play with me, I don’t wanna play with you!”). I had to repeat that a couple of times, but he finally got the point – he wasn’t going to get to go over to Susi to play anyway. After all I was more fun than the crate, and for the rest of our half hour of training we played a lot, and he tugged really well. Nice puppy! I didn’t get as far as the “sit” and “stay” training I have been meaning to work on, I decided it was best to make it easy and focus on the tugging, since his focus wasn’t exactly stabil… We got some really nice eye contact sessions, though! It was really hard for him to ignore all sorts of funny people, passing dogs, etc 🙂
When we had to go back to work (we take care of ca 1000 pigs every other weekend) Elisabeth and Lars came over with Luke (Elisabeth’s dog) and took both my dogs for long walk in the forest. Great exercise for my fat little puppy! Storm didn’t want to leave me though, he came running back to the house, and had to be on a leash :-p
